This puff pastry with poached apple is a typical dessert of Val di Non and a speciality of the Hotel Stella delle Alpi. It is undoubtedly the most beloved dessert among the many excellent creations of our Chef Massimo.

We are happy to share with you the original recipe, as performed every week in the kitchens of our Hotel, to allow you to take home the tastes and flavours of your holiday in Val di Non.


250gr of puff pastry
3 golden apples
6 tablespoons of jam
wild berries


First, roll out the puff pastry using sugar instead of flour.
Then cut the dough into 6 equal squares measuring 10 x 10 cm.
Peel the apples by removing the core and put half an apple on top of each square of puff pastry.
Over each piece of apple add a tablespoon of jam and close the puff pastry by joining the four corners of each square above the apple.
Finally, place on baking paper and bake for half an hour at 200 °C
